"I am obsessed with languages, would love to be fluent in at least 10. I'm always studying at least one and often get them mixed up"
Nationality: Brazilian
Programme: Bachelor's in Philosophy, Politics and Society
Previous education: BSc in Chemical Engineering at UFPE (Recife, Brazil). I also did one year abroad at Ohio University.
Why I chose Radboud University: My partner lives in Nijmegen and when I decided to change careers, I looked into many universities in The Netherlands and thought the PPS programme at Radboud was very unique.
What I am looking forward to the most by coming to Nijmegen: The whole idea of a fresh start. I was very unhappy in my previous career and finally got the courage to pursue my passion and this seems like the perfect place to start over.
A fun fact about myself: Only one?? Well, here are 3:
1. As you can probably guess already, I used to be an engineer but that didn't work for me so here I am;
2. I am obsessed with languages, would love to be fluent in at least 10. I'm always studying at least one and often get them mixed up (like French and Spanish for example);
3. When I was 12 I wrote a letter to J.K.Rowling (in the most broken English you can imagine) saying I wanted to be a writer just like her when I grew up.
My favourite quote: "Lock up your libraries if you like; but there is no gate, no lock, no bolt that you can set upon the freedom of my mind." (Virgina Woolf, A Room of One's Own).
