At 1 February 2023 the first Radboud Young Academy Recognition and Rewards event was organized. Evelyn Kroesbergen (Dean Faculty Social Sciences) and Maria Verschoor (Program lead RU Recognition & Rewards) performed the draw that determined the winners of the Radboud Young Academy Recognises and Rewards prize. Evelyn and Maria discussed this important theme with the public as well. Would you like to read why the winners and all other nominees were nominated? Please have a look at all nominations of this round. Would you like to nominate a colleague yourself? This is possible during the whole the year via this nomination form. Next draw will be early 2024.

On Wednesday 1 February 2023, 4:00 pm, the Radboud Young Academy (RYA) organizes a Recognition and Rewards event. During this event, six winners of the Radboud Young Academy ‘Recognises and Rewards – prize’ will be determined by a lottery. We are happy to invite you to join us, together with Dean Evelyn Kroesbergen, to talk about this important topic while enjoying some drinks.

On Wednesday 14 December 2022 the work life balance group of the Radboud Young Academy launched the ABCare project. It became a great and very inspiring evening in restaurant Veggie Galore. Please find an impression on our website and on Voxweb.

From Thursday 20 October 2022, six new members will join Radboud Young Academy. We are happy to welcome:Femke Bekius, assistant professor Nijmegen School of Management.Gustav Meibauer, assistant professor Nijmegen School of Management.Jeanette Mostert, supportive staff/lecturer, RadboudumcMarieke Oprel, assistant professor, Faculty of ArtsDaniela Patru, supportive staff, Nijmegen School of Management.Marleen Termeer, assistant professor, Faculty of ArtsThey will be Radboud Young Academy members for maximal 4 year. The Radboud Young Academy was founded in October 2020 and contains 29 members now. Together they provide (un)solicited advice, organize (interdisciplinary) meetings for young academics, and participate in the debate on education, science, social impact and science communication.

The Radboud Young Academy presents the second edition of the Radboud Young Academy ‘Recognises and Rewards - prize'. For this award every employee of the university or the Radboudumc can nominate a colleague or colleagues who contribute to a healthy and effective work environment – in whatever way. In the autumn a lottery will decide six winners, who will receive a gift card of €500. In 2021 this prize was a huge success and we could make a lot of colleagues happy with a nice nomination. Let’s give a sign of appreciation to your colleagues as well as a positive impulse to a healthier academic culture. Are you willing to contribute to the culture of academia, together with colleagues from various scientific disciplines? Would you like to discuss about topics like recognitions and rewards, interdisciplinarity and internationalization? Do you share our vision that researchers/teachers and support staff should work together to improve academia? Then Radboud Young Academy is looking for you!

A lottery decided the first winners of the Radboud Young Academy Recognises and Rewards prize. With this prize, we want to shift the focus from individual excellence to what we do for each other. For this award every employee can nominate a colleague or colleagues who contribute to a healthy and effective work environment – in whatever way. We received over 40 nominations and six of those were appointed as winners.
