Horizon Europe is the Framework Programme of the European Union for research and innovation with a budget of 95.5 billion euro for 2021-2027 succeeding Horizon 2020 programme. Horizon Europe started in spring 2021 and offers R&I funding opportunities for various disciplines.
The Radboud research community is keen to develop collaborative project ideas with European consortia across all Horizon Europe Pillars, as well as other EU-programmes both as experienced coordinators and strong research partners.

Radboud successes in European research funding: H2020 (2014-2020) and FP7 (2007-2013)
Radboud University and Radboudumc have been actively involved in EU Framework Programmes, having coordinated 241 projects (including FP7, H2020, Erasmus+ and 3HP programmes).
The organisations together secured funding for 266 FP7 projects (including individual and collaborative research) from 2007 to 2014. Between 2014 and 2020, Radboud University and Radboudumc received more than 200 million EUR from the European Commission for 292 research and innovation projects, making it to top five Dutch organisations with highest net EU contribution in Horizon 2020 and top 30 H2020 grantees in Europe.
Radboud researchers are particularly successful in ERC and MSCA grants as well as projects with European consortia covering various topics.
