Two-year educational master’s programmes

The Netherlands has been facing teacher shortages in secondary schools, especially in subjects such as computer science, chemistry, physics, mathematics, Dutch, German, French and the classics (ancient Greek and Latin). This shortage will only become more acute in coming years. By investing in two-year educational master’s programs, Radboud University hopes to combat this nationwide issue.

The Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies, the Faculty of Arts, and the Radboud Teachers Academy developed two-year programs for German, philosophy, theology, history and Dutch. This year, 2020, marks the starting point for many two-year educational master’s programs, such as mathematics, physics, and several languages beyond Dutch and German.
