Research assessments

The Radboud University has several major research institutes which are evaluated once every six years by an international peer review committee. The institute assessment puts emphasis on strategy and organisational aspects, whereas the research programme assessments focus on the results and quality of the scientific research and on the future. Together the criteria represent a comprehensive picture of the performance of the Radboud University’s research institutes and of its future potential.

The research assessments are carried out according to theStrategy Evaluation Protocol as defined by the Associations of Universities in the Netherlands (VSNU), the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO).
