CV and motivation letter
Curriculum Vitae (CV) and motivation letter
Well begun is half done. That is why you should adapt your CV and motivation letter to each individual job position that you are applying for. Show that you are knowledgeable about the organisation and that you know the specifics of the position. In the Netherlands, it is common for the recruiter or manager to leave their information at the bottom of the job vacancy for further information regarding the selection process and/or the specifics of the position. Take advantage of this!
Remember that there are currently more people applying for jobs than there are available jobs. Recruiters sometimes receive hundreds of applications for a single job vacancy. If you want to make it to the job interview, pay attention to the quality of your application and be sure that your CV looks good!
Curriculum Vitae - Tips & tricks
Always adjust the statement in your motivation letter. Make sure to tailor it to the job opening, the unsolicited application process, the event you are interested in (such as a business course, a career fair at which a CV selection process is used or an internship), and the associated organisation. Your motivation letter acts as an enhancement to your CV. Show that you have given this sufficient thought.
