Pre-Masters

As a premaster's student, your courses consist mainly of courses from within our Bachelor's programme, whereas you are of course preparing for a Master's programme. It can therefore sometimes be difficult to get the information that is applicable for you as a premaster's student. For this reason, we have comprised this page specifically for you!

Save the Date

The Faculty of Arts will welcome all new (pre-)Master’s students in the beginning of september 2022. The Welcome Day will be packed with programme specific information regarding course scheduling, internship opportunities and practical tips to organise your studies. The first invitations have been sent out. Have you not received one? Then please contact introductieweek@let.ru.nl.

Information per study programme

As a pre-master's student, you take most of your courses together with bachelor's students. That is why we would also like to point out the information for bachelor students. Click on your course below for more information.

For international students

Going to a different country for a pre-Master's can seem a little daunting. Many questions and worries may arise: What do you need to do to prepare for your stay, how can you find housing in Nijmegen, and how to deal with possible cultural differences? Make sure to check the following page, where we have gathered all information for our international students!

Study programme and course schedule

You should also have received (a link to) your course package when you were admitted to the pre-master's programme. This can be found in your official admission email. If you have not received your pre-master package or if you think something is wrong with regard to the number of ECTS for your pre-master, please contact premaster@let.ru.nl as soon as possible. Please note: the number of ECTS cannot be adjusted after August 31.

You must register for the courses yourself before the start of the academic year. Use your pre-master's package as a guideline for this. Students of the following pre-masters are automatically registered for courses:

  • premaster Communication and Information Sciences / Global Communication and Diversity
  • premaster Education T&C: English
  • pre-master North American Studies

If it turns out that this is not the case, please contact STIP.

You will find all information about your study program and the courses in the digital study guide, where you will also find information regarding possible books and readers you need to purchase. Here you can find information about accessing your schedule.
