Dr Vincent Hunink, Assistant Professor of Early Christian Greek and Latin, was surprised and addressed on the twentieth floor of the Erasmus Building by Mayor Hubert Bruls. On the occasion of King's Day and because of his exceptional scientific and social achievements, Vincent received a royal distinction.

As of 1 March 2024, Paula Fikkert will be the new dean of the Faculty of Arts. Since 2007, Paula Fikkert has been Professor of First Language Acquisition and Phonology at the Centre for Language Studies (CLS) and she has been affiliated with the study programme in Dutch Language and Culture.

On the recommendation of the Faculty Board, the Executive Board has appointed Vice Dean Professor André Lardinois as Deputy Dean for the period after José Sanders' departure and until a new dean takes office.

José Sanders will become the 60th Rector Magnificus of Radboud University, succeeding Han van Krieken. The handover will take place on Tuesday 17 October during the university’s centenary celebrations, at the same place where the celebrations for the university’s foundation took place exactly 100 years ago.
