FELIX and HFML

Via a quasi-optical transport system, intense, pulsed infrared and THz radiation from the FELIX Laboratory is also available in Cell 5 of the adjacent high-field magnet laboratory (HFML) for experiments that require the combination of continuous high magnetic fields and intense THz radiation.

The quasi-optical beamline currently connects to the 33 Tesla magnet of cell 5 at the High Field Magnet Laboratory. In the future a connection to the 45 Tesla hybrid magnet in cell 6 is planned.
