Prof. dr. Yvonne Benschop receives royal distinction

Datum bericht: 15 mei 2023

Prof. Yvonne Benschop received the royal distinction of Officer of the Order of Orange-Nassau from Mayor Hubert Bruls on Wednesday April 26th, in recognition of her exceptional academic achievements.

Yvonne was awarded the distinction for her pioneering work in the interdisciplinary field of gender and diversity within organisations. She has developed a political perspective on organisations to understand how power processes lead to intersectional inequality in daily organisational practices. Yvonne is particularly interested in informal organisational processes that lead to inequality, and in interventions that result in organisations becoming more diverse, equal and inclusive.

Recent research projects investigate gender and inclusion in leadership, the effect of post-feminism on organisational change, and sustainable change towards intersectional equality in organisations. Yvonne is a member of the steering committee of Radboud Gender & Diversity Studies and we cordially congratulate her with receiving this distinction.
