Research groups
There are two research groups affiliated to Gender & Diversity Studies, which research sex and gender in there respective fields.
Gender and Power in Politics and Management
The mission of this research group states as follows: "to contribute to a better understanding of the dynamics of power and gender in different contexts, and with this knowledge to help reduce gender inequalities in society". To give an impression of the workings of the research group, prof. dr.Yvonne Benschop and dr. Marieke van den Brink explain in the video below how their research has contributed to more gender balance among senior police officers.
Women's Studies Medical Sciences
This group has two goals: (a) provide education, services and support to all students, clinicians and researchers who want to incorporate a focus on sex and gender differences into their activities and (b) investigate innovative methods for the design of person-centered gender-sensitive prevention.
