Radboud University Nijmegen

You are warmly invited to the second edition of the Moving Humanities 2022, jointly organized by the Graduate Schools in the Humanities of Radboud University Nijmegen and the University of Groningen, which will take place on 3rd-4th November 2022. The conference brings together graduate research and researchers from Groningen and Nijmegen, and represents an array of scholarly traditions, methodologies and research questions across disciplines. In the first keynote, Frank Chouraqui (Leiden University) will talk about the philosophy of the humanities. The disciplines of the humanities are distinguished by their focus on what makes a human life truly human. This raises the question, what does it mean to live in a human world? Dorothee Wiese (Radboud University Nijmegen) will offer a second keynote, sharing a perspective on transcultural epistemology, and the way her work engages with literary, historical, and cultural studies as “cross-epistemological research fields”.
