The Nature of Misogyny with Kate Manne
On Friday, May 13, from 5 to 6 pm we, together with the Radboud Young Academy, discussed the topic of misogyny with Kate Manne a writer and moral philosopher at Cornell University (State of New York). Kate is not only known as an academic but also for her sharp commentaries and her brilliant books Down Girl: The Logic of Misogyny (Oxford University Press: 2018) and Entitled: How Male Privilege Hurts Women (Penguin Random House: 2020). It was an online event where Kate gave a 25-minute talk followed by questions from the audience. The discussion was led by the Halkes chair Klara Raiber.
We thank the Radboud Young Academy for the collaboration and Kate for her amazing insights and talk!
