Marije Barel, research technician

Marije Barel works at HFML-FELIX  as a research technician. She studied mechanical engineering in Delft, with a Master Precision and Microsystem engineering.

Mechanical engineering is in her blood. Marije can stay up all night figuring out how something works. In her time off she is also designing and building. Her projects at the moment: making her own 3D printer and refurbishing a mobile home.

As versatile as Barel is, she works on different things at the lab. She can help build or adjust installations, measure setups and do other ‘mechanical things’. She sees her work as a spacial-visual game. Give her a mechanical challenge and she’s happy. So HFML-FELIX seems like the right place to be.
