PAHRTEA - workshop
On September 23rd and 24th, FELIX Laboratory hosted a conference on Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon (PAH) Research: Theory and Experiments in an Astronomical context.
The meeting, which was well organized by the early stage researchers of the MSCA-ITN EUROPAH project, gave the opportunity to discuss the latest state of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons research in the interstellar medium. During the three sessions, the participants attended talks about astronomical observations, laboratory astrophysics and theoretical modelling of PAHs. The aim of the meeting was to exchange information and inform each other about the developments in the different fields.
The program also included a tour in the HFML-FELIX facility. Here, the participants could see the experiment setups coupled to FELIX, which are used to reveal the fingerprint spectra of these molecules, by mimicking the conditions in space.
