International workshop on Strange Metals at HFML
As part of the ongoing Vrije Programma on Strange Metals, HFML will be hosting an international school and workshop at the beginning of January, bringing together experimentalists and theorists from around the world to discuss and debate one of the most challenging problems of modern condensed matter physics, the strange metal phase found in high temperature superconductors and other compounds. On Wednesday 3rd January 2018, there will be a school introducing students and postdocs to the foundations of the problem. This will be followed by a 2-day workshop on Thursday and Friday (4 – 5 January 2018) in which speakers from Europe and the US will present their latest findings in this field.
The programme for the workshop can be found here http://strangemetals.com.
