Prof. dr. Sijbrand de Jong has been elected member of the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities.

The Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities was established in 1752 and is the oldest learned society in the Netherlands to promote science in the boadest sense. The Society acts as a meeting place for leading persons inside and outside of academia, comprising approximately 380 directors from the public and private sectors and 480 academic scholars.
Prof. De Jong has been appointed as an academic scholar member.
