High Energy Physics hosts Atlas HGTD meeting

Date of news: 22 June 2022

Starting on June 27, our department will host a one-week meeting dedicated to a project that some of our ATLAS colleagues are strongly involved in: the High-Granularity Timing Detector project. This aims to install a new detector in the ATLAS experiment by 2027, which should allow for very precise (50 ps) timing measurements of charged particles emanating from the many proton-proton collisions taking place in the heart of the ATLAS experiment.
