Vaardighedenmodules 2023 - 2024
De onderstaande vaardighedenmodules vinden in het tweede semester plaats. Een module beslaat vier tot vijf avondbijeenkomsten en wordt afgesloten met een eindopdracht.
Presenteren en Storytelling
Een beetje saai, dat zijn veel wetenschappelijke presentaties. Waarom? Omdat ze vaak een wetenschappelijke structuur en stijl hanteren, met weinig emotie, beweging, en nauwelijks beeld en geluid. Het kan ook anders.
Scientific Writing for a Lay Audience
In this information age, it has never been more important for scientists and academics to learn to communicate new scientific findings in a clear and engaging way.
Critical Reading: Authoritative Writing
Many students find it challenging to grasp the essence of complex texts and put the new knowledge they extract from them into their own words. If you’d like to read more effectively and write more convincingly, you need strategies and skills which help you to engage with texts critically.
Effective Essays
What makes some academic papers so dull and hard to follow? Often it is the lack of a well-structured argument. Insights and ideas that emerge from research and discussion have to be ordered in a logical way so that others can grasp them and respond to them.

The most successful academics know how to express their ideas in a clear, but also have the skills to communicate effectively with a variety of specialized and lay audiences.

Public speaking is a vital skill, no matter your studies or your career path. Whether you have to defend your thesis, give a training, or pitch a product: feeling confident speaking in front of a group will help get your message across.
