From honours for first-years to a research internship in Paris. 'I followed honours education for the entire duration of my studies'

Karlijn is one of those students who makes the most of every opportunity: in her first year of honours she got a peek across the borders of her field, during her Bachelor's the Honours Programme Medical Sciences brought her to University College London, and during her Master's she completed the Beyond the Frontiers Honours Programme by a scientific internship at the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. Sebastiaan, masterstudent Artificial InteIligence en Data Science, wist dat hij tijdens zijn studie graag een aantal maanden in het buitenland wilde doorbrengen. Toen het honoursprogramma Beyond the Frontiers op zijn pad kwam, wekte de buitenlandervaring direct zijn interesse. Met behulp van zijn supervisor binnen de universiteit konden er contacten gelegd worden met labs uit verschillende landen, waaronder Canada, Denemarken en Spanje. “In Spanje waren ze bezig met een onderwerp dat ik heel interessant vind; de ontwikkeling van dementie.” Lees meer >
