E-mail and calender

Every student and employee of Radboud University has access to email and a digital agenda from Microsoft Exchange. At every RU workstation (managed by the ISC) you can use the RU email and calendar via Outlook. You can also read your mail anywhere in the world with the Outlook Web App.

Want to send large files? Then use FileSender.

Would you like to report a (possible) phishing e-mail? See recogne and report phishing.

You can use Outlook (in the Office package) to read your mail. In Outlook, enter your login name (your u-, e- or s-number preceded by ru\) and Radboud password. When asked for the name of the mail server, enter mail.ru.nl. If Outlook is not on your laptop or PC, you can download it cheaply at www.surfspot.nl.

In Outlook it is possible to share your calendar and email with others. We advise you to use the default setting as much as possible and never to include privacy-sensitive information. See the instructions under 'Share a calendars' or 'Share E-mail or contacts'.

Outlook Web App

Go to https://mail.ru.nl. Enter your s-number with username preceded by ru\.

Have you been invited by an employee of the Radboud University for a functional mailbox? Read the instructions how you can log in to a functional mailbox.

Sometimes you want to use IMAP or POP3 settings to read and send mail. In that case, you do not have all the functionality of the Radboud-mail and -agenda (no: agenda, contacts, tasks, etc.). Read in the manual which steps you have to follow.

For the use of the Radboud e-mail / calendar facilities, a number of manuals  are available.
