Microsoft 365, free for students
Radboud University works with Microsoft Office 365. As a student, you will receive a (free) licence to install the Microsoft 365 applications on five (private) devices. This gives you access to the latest versions of Office such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel in the Cloud, you can chat and meet using Teams, and you can safely share large files in OneDrive online.
Download Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise from office.com or work directly from office.com with the applications as a web app. To log on to https://portal.office.com (links to another website), use your Radboud account; email@example.com.
Software for your private pc or laptop via SURFspot
As a student you can buy software at a reduced price at Surfspot. You log in to Surfspot (click the British flag) with your RU account: s-number, combined with the RU password.
Free internet security software
Radboud University students can download F-secure (internet security software) for free on SURFspot.
You can download SPSS (Windows, Apple, Linux software including license code) and Endnote (Apple, Windows) from Surfspot.
Endnote can be requested through the ICT Helpdesk from your student mail. To do so, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Don't forget whether this is for a Windows or Apple device. You will receive the software via a compressed file (you can unpack it with 7-zip https://www.7-zip.org/ (refers to another website)). The mail also contains the steps you need to follow to install the software.
