Time
from 16:00
Location

Speaker
Dr. Sadia Bari (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY, Hamburg, Germany)
Description

Sadia BariThe combination of electrospray ionization and mass spectrometry at advanced light sources such as synchrotrons and free-electron lasers opens the way to study structure and dynamics of gas-phase biomolecules by investigating the electronic structure and relaxation mechanisms in the VUV and soft X-ray energy range.

In this talk (near-edge) mass spectrometry on peptides, proteins and related molecules will be presented and thereby secondary damage processes, site-selective dissociation, the influence of photon intensity, molecular size and spin states will be discussed.
