Rapid diagnosis via blood, saliva and urine with infrared spectrometer

The Molecular Structure and Dynamics research group is in-house user of the FELIX free electron laser laboratory. Their aims is to apply the widely tuneable IR radiation provided by FELIX in various spectroscopic studies on extremely low-density gaseous samples. Because of the low densities, conventional spectroscopic methods are inadequate and action spectroscopy methods are required. The studies find application in ion chemistry / mass spectrometry, cluster science, gas-phase biomolecules and astrochemistry

Prof. Jos Oomens tells about this in the RN7 TV series "Rapid diagnosis via blood, saliva and urine with infrared spectrometer " (in Dutch)
