New postdoc Petre Maican
As of July 1 2022, Dr. Petre Maican will join our institute as postdoctoral researcher. He has a bachelor and a masters degree in Eastern Orthodox theology from the University of Bucharest, Romania, and a PhD in systematic theology from the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom. Since his graduation he has worked as Teaching Fellow at the University of Aberdeen and Postdoctoral Researcher at UCLouvain, Belgium. He has participated in numerous conferences and published extensively in the areas of ecumenism, ecclesiology, and disability theology. His current research project lies at the crossroad between theological anthropology, intellectual disability, and Eastern Orthodox spirituality, examining how the Eastern Orthodox understanding of spiritual perfection could be applicable in the case of persons with profound intellectual disabilities.
