On 1 May 2020 Tineke Strik was appointed Professor of Citizenship and Migration Law at the Faculty of Law of Radboud University. For one day a week, she will research at the Centre for Migration Law the external dimension of the European Asylum and Migration policy and the legal status of Union citizens and third-country nationals in the European Union.

EU Citizenship and Free Movement Rights. This collective volume examines how EU citizenship reconstructs in unexpected ways what citizenship as a status means and stands for. EU citizenship can neither be accurately described as a citizenship status similar to national citizenship, nor as an immigration one.

The (preliminary) program contains a varied range of presentations and is the opportunity to become acquainted with Dutch and Flemish socio-legal research, to make contacts with socio-legal researchers and to meet old acquaintances. The plenary sessions are in English. There are both English and Dutch panel sessions. There is an English-language choice at any time. Members of the VSR receive a discount on registration fees.
