Title Externalisation of Migration Control
Description This research, which is part of the larger Borders and Sovereignty Project, focuses on the European Union’s and its Member States’ cooperation with third countries, especially Morocco and Turkey, on the prevention of irregular migration and the return of irregular migrants. In this context, the legal position of those migrants in the EU and the countries who are returned will be examined. Furthermore, it will be analysed where the responsibility for safeguarding the migrants’ rights, especially their fundamental and human rights, lies.
