Safe Third Countries

Title

The Concept of Safe Third Countries in Asylum Law

Description

An increasingly common element of European asylum systems is that an asylum seeker can be denied permission to stay in a state or even to enter a state if there is a so called 'safe third country'. Is this ground for non-entry or refusal of an asylum-claim in accordance with human rights treaties, the refugee convention?
