Description

Research on the determining factors in the process of decision-making of the directives and regulations based on title IV of the Treaty of Amsterdam with an emphasis on the directives on family reunification and asylum procedures. What is the procedure of the decision-making and how adequate and democratic is it? Who are the participants, what is their role and influence and what are the determining arguments? To what extent is the objective of harmonization realised? What are the effects of the directives on the national policy of the Member States?
