Subject of this research is the deprivation of Dutch citizenship. Central are the two grounds in Dutch law that can lead to deprivation of citizenship by the State: fraud and failure to renounce the other nationality. The aim is dual. The first aim is to provide for a legal framework of the two legal provisions through research of the (history of the) law, jurisprudence and the international and European law on citizenship (such as the ECN). The second aim is to give more notion on the practice of deprivation of citizenship through empirical research. |
