This research studies the role of medical advice in the immigration and asylum procedures of the Netherlands and seven other European states: Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the U.K. The purpose of the study is to determine how the health of immigrants and the work of doctors intersect with and have consequences for the legal status of individuals in the immigration and asylum laws of these states. |
