Seraina Grünewald, Guido Ferrarini & Danny Busch participate in sustainable finance conference in Frankfurt
On 20 and 21 February the European Banking Institute (EBI) organized the Global Annual Conference (GAC) in Frankfurt. The EBI is a partnership of leading European universities in Banking law, including Radboud University. Professor of European and Comparative Financial Law Seraina Grünewald, professor of Financial Law Danny Busch and visiting professor of Governance of Financial Institutions Guido Ferrarini participated during the conference in Frankfurt.
On Friday 21 February the conference sessions were all about sustainable finance. This part of the event was organized and moderated by Busch and Ferrarini, who are also in charge of EBI Task Force on Sustainable Finance.
Professor Seraina Grünewald gave a presentation on the subject ‘Climate Change as a Systemic Risk in Finance – Are Macroprudential Authorities Up to the Task?’. More presentations were provided by professor Katharina Pistor (Columbia University), professor Kern Alexander (University of Zürich) and Marieke Driessen (partner at Simmons & Simmons Amsterdam) on the aspects of sustainable finance.
