Prof. mr. Paul Bovend'Eert is Professor of Constitutional Law at the Radboud University. Together with the other members of the research group, he is responsible for monitoring the quality and progress of the project. Using his expertise and his network, he assists in the organisation of the various conferences and in the distribution of the final report.
Mr. Hansko Broeksteeg is Associate Professor of Constitutional Law at the Radboud University. Together with the other members of the research group, he is responsible for monitoring the quality and progress of the project. Using his expertise and his network, he assists in the organisation of the various conferences and in the distribution of the final report. Together with Ronald Tinnevelt, Hansko Broeksteeg edited the volume Politieke partijen als anomalie van het Nederlandse staatsrecht (Deventer 2015). This volume forms the foundation of this project.
Dr. Joris Gijsenbergh is the postdoc who conducts the research. He writes a monograph, articles, op-eds about the regulation of political parties. Together with the rest of the research group, he organises the expert meetings and the final conference. Before this project, Joris Gijsenbergh has worked as a researcher and Assistant Professor of History at the universities of Nijmegen, Leiden, Utrecht, Münster and Marburg. In his PhD thesis and other publications, he has studied the introduction of anti-extremist measures in the 1920s and 1930s, including party bans.
Prof. dr. Ronald Tinnevelt is Professor of Legal Philosophy at the Radboud University. Together with the other members of the research group, he is responsible for monitoring the quality and progress of the project. Using his expertise and his network, he assists in the organisation of the various conferences and in the distribution of the final report. Together with Hansko Broeksteeg, Ronald Tinnevelt edited the volume Politieke partijen als anomalie van het Nederlandse staatsrecht (Deventer 2015). This volume forms the foundation of this project.
Prof. dr. Ben Vermeulen was Professor of Legal Philosophy at Radboud University and Professor of Constitutional Law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdan. Currently, he is Professor of Educational Law Radboud University, member of the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences (KNAW), member of the Dutch Council of State (de Raad van State), and member of the Venice Commission. Together with the other members of the research group, he is responsible for monitoring the quality and progress of the project. Using his expertise and his network, he assists in the organisation of the various conferences and in the distribution of the final report.
