Going to Luxemburg: EU litigation and the role of Member States

On 27 October 2023 a special guest lecture is given for all students interested in EU law. This lecture focuses on the role of Member States in proceedings before the Court of Justice in the EU. The lecture will start at 10.30 h and will take place in the CPO zaal, Gr 01.104 (Grotius Gebouw). Entrance is free for every student.

This lecture gives a legal and practical overview of EU litigation. What is EU litigation? How does the Court work? What is the role of Member States? Jurian Langer is heading the EU Litigation team of the Netherlands and an experienced litigator in proceedings at the Court of Justice. On the basis of his professional experiences he gives an insight view from a member state perspective. He is also prepared to answer questions about internships.
