Henri de Waele delivers a lecture series at the University of Malta

henridewaele 001Henri de Waele, professor of International and European law, delivered a series of guest lectures at the University of Malta in the week of 12 February. In particular, this series was programmed at the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies. The audience consisted of students enrolled in the Master programme there, and officials working in the foreign service of several European, Arabic, and African countries. The following themes were discussed: the position of the EU within the global legalarena, the complex relationship between Member State and supranational powers, the theory and practice of association agreements, and the legal foundations of the European Neighbourhood Policy, the Union for the Mediterranean, and the Eastern Partnership.
