Public transport strikes on 9, 13, 15 and 16 September

Date of news: 8 September 2022

Recently students received notice of the public transport strikes of Thursday 8 September. Since then, more public transport strikes have been announced in the upcoming period. Announced strikes that affect a large part of our student population are the strikes on 9, 13, 15 and 16 September.

The faculty board has decided that, provided the announced strikes actually take place, the recordings of the Bachelor’s lectures taking place that day will be made available via Brightspace. The recordings of the Bachelor’s lectures that will take place on Friday 9 September will be made available on Monday 12 September and Tuesday 13 September. Of the Bachelor’s lectures taking place on next week’s striking days, recordings will be made available the two working days following the end of that lecture.

In addition, the faculty board has asked all departments to offer a digital alternative for other education as much as possible. For example in the form of an extra digital working group for the students who missed the tutorial on campus, providing recordings of a Master’s lecture or a Bachelor’s working group, or providing a livestream. This will be announced on Brightspace at the relevant course.

If you do have the opportunity to come to the faculty on the days when strikes are taking place, we expect your presence on campus as usual.
