Course transfers

LL.M students European Law are allowed to transfer a maximum of two courses from their previous programs towards their Master’s at the Law Faculty. You can choose to transfer multiple courses from your previous programs to one RU-course as long as the content of these courses match the content of the RU-course. The total study load of these courses has to be at least the study load of the RU-course. The request for transfer will be assessed by the examination board. When they decide that the content does not fully match the content of the RU-course, you might be asked to carry out an extra assignment to prove you fully comprehend all the topics of the RU-course. You might be asked to write an essay or to take an oral exam. You will not receive a mark for the course on your Transcript of Grades but will receive a ‘pass’. The credits will however count towards your degree.

If you would like to transfer courses please fill in this Exemption form (pdf, 55 kB). Please bring or send the form plus a motivation letter and a copy of your Transcript of Grades together with the course information that describe your completed courses to the International Office at the Grotius building, room 00.022. Please try to arrange your transfers before arrival to save you time.
