Study environment
The Library of Science is a great place to study! You can walk in and choose a place, except in Wing 2: there you can reserve a place or a meeting room via this website, log in with your S-number and the corresponding password. You can book 2 days in advance. You can choose between a place with or without a PC.
-
PCs, laptops, wifi
All PCs in our library run on Windows (except 8; these run on Linux). If all PC places have been reserved, you can borrow a laptop for a day from the service desk. Make sure you have your ID with you. You can connect your own laptop or telephone to Eduroam. To charge your phone or laptop, you can borrow a power bank or mobile socket at the service desk. Are you temporarily moving away from your place? Borrow a laptop lock or store your laptop or phone in a locker. They also include electrical outlets! Make sure you empty your locker before closing time and leave it clean.

Opening hours
Monday - Friday: 8.15am – 9.30pm
Saturday and Sunday: 10.00am – 6pm
During the summer holidays and during the Christmas period, adjusted opening hours may apply. Keep an eye on the screens in the faculty.

Finding literature
Start your search for scientific literature at the Library Guide Science. You can also find this guide by clicking on the 'UB guides' button on the homepage of the University Library. Through this guide you have access to all our (subject-specific) databases and the subscriptions of the library, even from home!
-
Borrowing
With your student card you can borrow books for free from the Library of Science and all other library locations on campus. You only need to activate your student card once as a library card in RUQuest (manual on this page). RUQuest is the database that contains all books and journals to which the RU has a subscription. You can request a book from all locations in RUQuest and pick it up at the Library of Science. Borrowed books can be returned to any library location at Radboud University.
Tip: we have a lot of study literature as e-book! Check out the Study Guide E-literature. -
Printing
To print, you need the Kuario-app. To install this, follow the manual.
-
Servicebalie en faciliteiten
Our hostessess Judith and Charlotte are happy to help you with your questions. In the evenings and on weekends there are room attendants to help you. Opposite the service desk are staplers, a binding machine and you can laminate. We sell cases for that. -
Vending machine
You can buy all kinds of items from the vending machine opposite the service desk! USB sticks, lecture blocks, pens, etc. etc. -
(Social) Media
Keep an eye on the screens in the faculty, follow us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Check the news items on our website and the Library Guide Science. These are also in the faculty news letter you receive monthly.
