Library Guide Science and e-learning for students
The Library Guide Science is a good starting point to search for scientific literature: you will find links to general and subject-specific databases for FNWI. It also contains a link to e-learning for this faculty. This allows you to learn how to search efficiently and thoroughly in the databases for your study, in your own time and at your own pace. You can also find practical information here.
Searching for and evaluating scientific literature is one of the academic skills you acquire during your studies. The Library of Science can help you with that. The subject-specific databases are listed for each study, and also online encyclopedias and subject-specific dictionaries. We have developed interactive e-learning modules so that you can learn about what searching for scientific literature means, or to get useful tips to get more relevant results.
Endnote
Keeping up with literature or making a bibliography can be a lot of hassle. A software program such as Endnote makes it a lot easier for you: with this you can easily refer to the relevant literature you have found, and it automatically creates a literature list. Endnote is free for RU students and employees. We have an e-learning module about Endnote, but you are also welcome at one of our (online) workshops.
