Open access publishing at no extra cost or with a discount

The Dutch universities have signed contracts with a large number of major scientific publishers under which corresponding authors from Radboud University and Radboudumc can publish open access at no extra cost. This is possible in more than 10,000 journals.

Overview of publishers and journals

There is an overview of publishers with whom a so-called read & publish deal has been concluded. There you will find information about the agreements per publisher. On this page you will also find the Open Access Journal Browser. In the search bar you can enter the title of a journal and find whether there is a deal within which you can publish at no extra cost or at a discount. Place the title between "" for better search results. The Journal Browser also provides information on what is possible with other publishing versions. Pre- or postprints can usually, after a certain period of time, be made open access through the Radboud Repository, so-called green open access.

Lunch meeting on open access publishing

On Feb. 28, the Library of Science is hosting a lunch meeting on open access publishing at noon. This will discuss the possibilities more broadly, as they are diverse. The lunch meeting is in English. You can join either online or in person. You can sign up here.
On March 14 there will be a coffee lecture on Plan S. This will last 15 minutes, also in English and can be attended online and in person. You can sign up for this as well.
