In the new academic year, the Library of Science will be offering all kinds of workshops and (short) presentations again, on various topics such as open access, searching in subject-specific databases and copyright in education. All presentations can also be followed online. You can sign up via our calender.

Variation

We offer workshops and presentations in various forms for both scientists and students. For example, we hold a “coffee lecture” every two weeks at 1 pm: in 15 minutes you get information about one subject. It can be about copyright in education or Browzine, but also about search tips for Google Scholar or finding our collection in RUQuest.

During our workshops Endnote and Adobe Illustrator basics you start practising yourself to get to know these programs. Presentations about e.g. Plan S and Open access publishing provide a lot of information and there is always room for your questions.

Every month we offer a workshop called “Literature search for your BA/MA thesis”, for student who are just starting their theses. We will help them find relevant scientific literature in a small group.

You find an overview of all our activities in our calender.

Custom made presentations

Does the date not suit you and would you like individual help? That's no problem. Would you like a tailor-made presentation or workshop, for example about open access, for the entire department, or about finding reliable literature for your students? That too is possible. Feel free to contact us for the possibilities. We are happy to help you!
