Objectives

Objectives of the 3-D project are

1. to explore already existing theories and best practices that interpret and combat extreme and polarizing ideologies and societal tendencies towards radicalization.
2. to systematize knowledge on how extreme ideologies and accompanying behaviors affect social cohesion of and polarization in European societies, communities and cities.
3. to explore the interconnection between various types of extreme ideologies, in particular how they impact and spur one another and the impact they have on democratic debates.
4. to develop a comprehensive analytical framework that enables policy makers and professionals to interpret, predict, prevent and combat extreme ideologies and polarizing behaviors.
