Carolien van Ham Joins De Jonge Akademie

Carolien van Ham, professor of Empirical Political Science, has been selected as a new member of De Jonge Akademie of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). Members of this group are part of different disciplines, they have a proven academic track record, and have obtained their PhD within the last ten years.

The political scientist was invited as a member because of her research into the different aspects of democracy, her commitment to a research centre for sustainable democracy, and for sharing her knowledge with the general public. As a member, she wants to focus on interdisciplinarity, collaboration with the arts, and internationalisation.
