NSM Focus | Monique Leyenaar writes book about a century of women's suffrage
It has been 100 years since women acquired the right
to vote. In De hoogste tijd (high time), Monique Leyenaar, professor of comparative political science at the Nijmegen School of Management, and two other scientists take a look back on this. The book describes the struggle for women's suffrage and the many distinctive persons involved in it. How did women's suffrage come about and what can we say about the results? What do the women who have seized the right to vote do with it? Are they going to vote and if so, for whom? Do they operate similarly to men or do women handle their vote differently?
De hoogste tijd will be published on 29 January by Atheneum.
