Symposium ‘Responsible organizing in a digital age’ was successful
On Thursday 25 November, Business Administration organised their first RO symposium on ‘Responsible organizing in a digital age’, with over fifty participants live and online and six organisations (Armis, Nijmegen municipality, RIVM, NFI, Ford and Capgemini). Each organisation presented a challenging issue in responsible digitalisation, after which an interdisciplinary group of researchers designed a research plan to investigate the issue further and work towards solutions.
The event was well-received, and seeds have been planted for future collaborations in thesis projects (e.g., Armis), case research as part of ongoing PhD research, applied (DGR) research and joint grant applications (e.g., NFI). A key objective of this symposium format was to bring academics and practitioners together to establish long-term collaborations on responsible and positively impactful topics. RO events, either in this format or another, are organised twice a year. If you are interested in helping, or have any further ideas regarding topics or formats, please let us know.
