Data management plan (DMP)

The integrity of research depends on integrity in all aspects of data management, including the collection, use, and sharing of data. Research data management plays an important role in researchers’ work. A growing number of funding agencies have set strict conditions with respect to the management of research data. In addition, the Faculty of Law and the Nijmegen School of Management have a clear RDM policy.

A data management plan helps researchers to make conscious decisions about research data in their project. Radboud University has developed a DMP tool for writing such a plan. A data management plan is a dynamic document. Researchers should discuss it with their colleagues or supervisors and update it regularly.

RDM support assists researchers in storing, sharing and reusing research data. This service is an initiative of the Radboud University Library. Researchers may also contact their faculty’s Data Steward on questions about research data management or writing a data management plan: Anita Böcker for the Faculty of Law and Francie Manhardt for the Nijmegen School of Management.
