IMR Academy Seminar: Presenting ODISSEI (Seminar)

ODISSEI is the Dutch national infrastructure for social science. Through ODISSEI, researchers have access to large-scale, longitudinal data collections and innovative and diverse new forms of data. Providing analytical tools and algorithms, secure supercomputing power, and expertise, ODISSEI is building an overarching and interlinked infrastructure to guide researchers through the rich datasets that are available in the Netherlands.

ODISSEI offers researchers a variety of facilities: it has a programme that supports the use of the LISS panel and CBS microdata and it offers grants for technical support by the Netherlands eScience Center research engineers. Furthermore, the researchers can contact ODISSEI’s Social Data Science Team (SoDa) with questions about their own social data research projects, from starting up a new project to executing complex computational analyses. Those who need additional computational power can get access to the ODISSEI Secure Supercomputer (OSSC). ODISSEI can also help elevate a future project application (such as an NWO of ERC grant).

During the presentation, Kasia Karpinska (ODISSEI Scientific Manager) will describe the opportunities offered by ODISSEI in more detail. Erik-Jan van Kesteren (SoDa Team Leader, UU) will present the SoDa team, and he will answer all questions on the support that the team can offer.
