The Dutch Minister of Finance Wopke Hoekstra has delivered the research report Niet-bancaire kredietverlening – een blik in de black box (in Dutch) by Sascha Füllbrunn, Dirk-Jan Janssen and Utz Weitzel of the Economics Department to the Dutch Second Chamber. The research project analysed the ‘black box’ of online Dutch credit companies that provide credit to small companies and self-employed people who have no consumer credit protection.

André van Hoorn, together with Sjoerd Beugelsdijk and Robbert Maseland, has won the Global Strategy Journal 2020 Best Paper Prize. The prize was awarded to the paper: “Are scores on Hofstede's dimensions of national culture stable over time? A cohort analysis. ” The paper uses cohort analysis to determine whether country scores on the famous Hofstede dimensions are stable or not. Results show that cultural scores of countries can change over time, but that differences between countries remain relatively stable.
