Best Paper Prize for André van Hoorn

André van Hoorn, together with Sjoerd Beugelsdijk and Robbert Maseland, has won the Global Strategy Journal 2020 Best Paper Prize. The prize was awarded to the paper: “Are scores on Hofstede's dimensions of national culture stable over time? A cohort analysis. ” The paper uses cohort analysis to determine whether country scores on the famous Hofstede dimensions are stable or not. Results show that cultural scores of countries can change over time, but that differences between countries remain relatively stable.

The Global Strategy Journal Best Paper Prize is awarded annually in honor of substantial work published in the Global Strategy Journal. This journal focuses on publishing the world's most influential management-oriented global strategy research. The prize is worth $5,000 and winners will also receive a plaque.
