Elective space

Bachelor’s students of Political Science must complete 24 ECTS worth of elective courses within their compulsory programme. You are free to choose your preferred elective courses, which do not even have to be related to your own field of study, as long as they do not overlap with the Political Science curriculum or with each other. In addition, you will not need prior approval for your choice of electives within RU. You will only need to ask the Examining Board for permission if you want to follow elective courses at another Dutch university. Please complete the goedkeuringsformulier keuzevakken [approval request form for electives] (docx, 59 kB) and submit it to the Examining Board to request approval of your desired elective courses.
